Lee was admitted to practice in New York in 1975 and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Rockland Bar Association, Westchester Bar Association and NAELA (National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys).  He is a member of the Executive Committee of the state bar Elder Law Section. Since 1996, he has held the Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) designation from the National Elder Law Foundation.  He is a frequent lecturer at Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Programs involving Elder Law issues and served on the New York State Bar Association Power of Attorney Task Force. Lee is also a member of the BUisiness Development Board of the Hudson Valley Bank.

Lee is a graduate of MIT and New York University School of Law.  He has practiced Elder Law since 1975, initially as a sole practitioner, then with Hoffman, Wachtell, Koster & Maier and successor firms and, since 2008, in his own offices again.  Sara L. Keating joined him in 2010. Lee was the supervising attorney for the Rockland County Office for Aging Legal Services Program from 1975 to 1983 and was the Village Justice for the Village of South Nyack from 1986 to 2001. Lee grew up in Westchester and has lived in Rockland County for more than forty years.  Lee is married, has two grown children and several grandchildren. His avocations are photography and golf.

Professional Interests and Goals

The firm's professional focus is on Elder Law.  Our current practice involves assisting disabled and ill persons and their families with all legal issues, ranging from estate planning and administration to obtaining appropriate medical care and government benefits.  Our practice also involves guardianship, special needs planning, residential real estate, representing small businesses in a variety of matters and assisting individual clients with unusual legal problems.
